Owned by lawyer Galassi (CEO of Ferretti Group), the new superyacht is equipped with audio equipment and high-speed connection based on streaming technology

Custom Line Navetta 38 Telli is equipped with a sophisticated AV and IT configuration developed by Videoworks. The high-speed audio and connectivity system is based on a streaming approach without relying on traditional TVRO (Television receive only) satellite technology.
“The owner requested a high-powered audio system and very fast Starlink connectivity that would offer streaming, Internet and multiple pay-per-view services for an exceptional entertainment experience,” says Giovanni Varone, Yachting sales manager at Videoworks. “This is the first time we have installed such advanced systems, more common on 60 or 70-meter yachts, on a project of this size.”
The AV system features K-array and James speakers that deliver exceptional audio quality in the open spaces. Inside the yacht is equipped with a design-focused audio solution with a Bang & Olufsen home theater system soundbar (Beosound Theatre) and subwoofer (Beolab 19), while the lower deck and the owner’s cabin benefit from flush-mounted K-Array audio systems.
“For the boat’s beach area, we installed a compact mini pop-up speaker system, a new Videoworks product based on our pop-up solution designed to provide high-quality sound while integrating seamlessly into the platform when not in use,” explains system engineer Lorenzo Petecchia. “These speakers are connected to Videoworks’ Slim Audio Matrix via special software that automatically calibrates the audio for a perfect listening experience.”
At the heart of the AV system is a new Html5-based web engine that enables control of the AV configuration via an intuitive home automation interface across multiple devices, including tablets, smartphones and PCs, that dynamically adapts to each device. The hardware components are housed in two centralized racks and a smaller rack dedicated to decoder distribution. This simplified configuration adapts to the technical spaces available on board the yacht for a clean and efficient use of space.
The owner also wanted his yacht to be “domeless”, that is, without the traditional domes for Vsat antennas. “In fact, Custom Line Navetta 38 Telli represents the future of on-board connectivity that focuses on content streaming and is equipped with two high-performance Starlink maritime antennas, capable of reaching download speeds of up to 220 Mbps, allowing fast and reliable Internet access anywhere in the world, as well as two 5G Sim card modems as backup systems” says Paolo Tagliapietra, Connectivity & communication solutions Bu Manager.
One of the unique aspects of the yacht is this complete reliance on streaming for content distribution, a game changer for the yachting industry. The integration of Sky Italia streaming decoders and Smart TV apps ensures the smooth operation of the entertainment system. “We are very proud of this project,” concludes Giovanni Varone. “The combination of cutting-edge audio technology and advanced connectivity, together with the elegant and intuitive web engine interface, makes Custom Line Navetta 38 Telli one of the most innovative yachts of its size ever built. Furthermore, it paves the way for future yachts that will rely exclusively on content streaming, offering guests a truly unique AV experience at sea.”
